On friday afternoon at Southeast High in Kansas City, a 13 year old boy was grazed by a bullet due to the drive by shooting that was going on outside on the street. Two cars were passing by the school when one opened fire on the family inside the car next to them. The family then turned into the high school to try and seek safety from the shooter.
If you are being shot at, I can understand wanting to get away from the person or people firing at you, but pull into a school? Why? Knowing that there are children right there, why would you do that? I guess that I do not understand why there, but I was not in that vehicle so I can not posibly understand the reasoning behind it.
I understand that this sort of thing is not new news, but it still just really ticks me off. They are fighting so hard on gun control and the people who seem to not be affected are the ones that need them taken away. Those of us that are law abiding citizens need to be able to protect ourselves and our families from people like this.
I think that harsher punishment for joyride shooting needs to be not only put into place but strickly enforced!
wow this is scary. My oldest is 14 and it shows how crazy things can be for our kids today. I fear for my babies everyday. Shootings are so common that people need to be able to protect themselves. I dont understand the pulling into the school though. Maybe it was the closest place they could and in fear im sure they didnt relize. I dont know but cant understand it either.
