South Africas gold medal winner is under investigation for the rumors that she is a hermaphrodite. There has been talk of banning her from further competition, and also some brief thought on stripping her gold medal that she won in Berlin. The humiliating string of tests were started back in 1991 and are still not conclusive today.
My reaction to this article was "who has the right do invade someone privacy for a medical condition, exspecially one they they may or may not have been born with. And instead of smearing her around the world, causing embarasment to her, her family, and her country, why not just ask her how she feels or what she thinks. This is so typical of people in the spotlight, they have absolutely no privacy. Things are meant to be personal (that we would consider very personal) is open news to the reporters and therefore the world. It is not right.
